His first steps with the clarinet were learning with A. Ferrus, Royal Guard Soloist, later completed Degree at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid (RR. CC Superior de Madrid) with Professor Justo Sanz. Later he widened his academic training with José Luis Estellés and finally got the Master in Classical and Contemporary Performance at the “Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya”(ESMUC) with Josep Fuster. He took part in Historic Clarinet Courses with Erich Hoeprich and Carles Riera.
Extra musical training includes the Master in Education and New Technologies from the Distance University of Madrid (UDIMA) and C1 in English.
He was member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Spain (OFE), University of Jaen Orchestra (UJA), Youth Orchestra of Andalusia (OJA), Symphony Orchestra of the RR.CC. of Madrid and collaborated intensely for years with the Orquesta de Córdoba and the Camerata Gala, with whom maintains a continuous orchestral activity.
In Chamber Music, he was part of Córdoba Wind Quintet, Sun Coast Trio ( Reeds Trio) and collaborated with the Averroes String Quartet, with whom he has performed the repertoire for clarinet and string quartet and Cello and Piano a lot of times. On the other hand He has performed several recitals with piano in Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany ,Belgium and Sweden together with pianists Juanjo Mudarra and Víctor López. Likewise, the Cordoban composer Santiago Baéz dedicated the work “Purple Pieces” to him for solo clarinet and has premiered several works by composer Rafael Díaz.
As a soloist, he was the winner of the 2nd National Clarinet Award at the ” Spanish National Clarinet Competition” held in Cullera (Valencia) and has performed as soloist K622 Mozart Concerto and Op. 34 from Carl M. von Weber. Within his recordings, enhance 4th Symphony and Lieder by G. Mahler edited by reknowned lbs Classical label the for Ensemble and Soprano with the Camerata Gala and for Melian Music the BSOs by Roque Baños and the Córdoba Orchestra.
He has been invited as a guest teacher at numerous Conservatories and Youth Orchestras in whole Spain and abroad like Malmö Academy of Music (Sweden), Istituto Musicale Vincenzo Bellini (Catania, Italy),
Academy of Dance and Music (Plovdiv, (Bulgaria),Royal Conservatoire (Brussels,Belgium), Carl Mariavon Weber Hochschule (Dresden,Germany), Academyof Music and Theater (Tallinn, Estonia), ESMUC (Barcelona, Spain), Clarinet Sur Festival 2016 (Spain) and Clarisur Canena together with Josep Fuster and
José Franch Ballester and Corrado Giufreddi with the sponsorship of Backun Musical Services. He is an Artist of the Backun and Legere Reeds brands and Director of the “Backun Clarinet Spain Contest” and the “Clarisur Canena”(Spain) together with Josep Fuster and José Franch Ballester and Corrado Giufreddi with the sponsorship of Backun Musical Services.
Currently is an Artist of the Backun and Legere Reeds brands and Director of “Clarisur Canena Festival”. He has been part of staff at the Conservatorio Superior de Sevilla and Córdoba and currently holds the Chair of Professor of Clarinet in Conservatorio Superior de Málaga.
